Gustav Killian Picci Pietsch himself is a lecturer at the "Gordonia Mapilim" School of Shipping and Fisheries of the Gdynia Zionist Association "Zewulon". [2] He taught hundreds of Jews from Poland and Danzig and organized the immigration of about 400 Jews to Palestine. [2] In 1935, he founded the weekly newspaper "Feldgrauer Alarm" and, in association with "List Weise", a former DNVP member, ran for the federal election as an independent candidate (list "Freie Frontkampfer"). [3] Pietsch was attacked several times by the Nazis and was seriously injured when he was pushed in front of the tram. On June 12, 1936, the local Nazi SA stormed the DNVP Congress during a speech in Piech, injuring 60 people, and Piech was again arrested. When the stormtroopers were about to be released, Piech was held for several weeks. On December 24, 1938, Piech managed to leave Danzig and emigrate to Palestine with the support of Jewish institutions.
